Highlights from Ben "The Grizzly" Rothrock's recent tournament win
My man is a champion. May 2, 2009-Charlotte, NC at the Hayastan Submission Grappling Tournament. Ben competed in two divisions, with a total of 5 matches in the course of an hour. I've included the highlights from that tournament, in which he took home the gold. I'm proud of you, baby.

Ben "The Grizzly" Rothrock of Team Grizzly's 2011 highlights. 1st Place, U.S. Grappling NC Submission Only, Men's Purple Belt Heavyweight. 1st Place, NAGA Men's Heavyweight Purple Belt. 1st Place, Men's Gi Advanced Hayastan East Coast Championships. 1st Place, ISJA Mingo Warrior Challenge, Men's Black Belt Absolute. MMA 3rd round win via submission. 1st Place, Bushido Challenge NC Judo Championships Mundashi 100kg.
Team Grizzly at JA Nationals 2010
Jujitsu America Sport Jujitsu Nationals in Fort Lauderdale FL, Sept 3-5 2010. These fights took place on Saturday Sept. 4 at the Marriot Harbor Beach Resort. Rami Najjar placed 1st in both teen and adult intermediate welterweight divisions, Will Dameron placed 2nd in absolute heavyweight teen division and Bryan Dickey placed 2nd in welterweight beginner adult division. Coached by Ben "The Grizzly" Rothrock of the Octagon Gym in Greensboro, and lead by the prestigious Professor Tony Maynard of the American School of Self-Defense in Kernersville, NC, each teammate gave their all, and everyone involved in their training is appreciated for their efforts.

Ben Rothrock, fighting no gi submission grappling for Professor Huss' Combat College Total Submission Challenge in August 2007. In these two fights, he was coached by Steven Elliot. Ben has gone on to become the head grappling instructor at the Octagon Gym, has continued his education in the arts of Judo, Brazilian Jiu jitsu, and traditional jujitsu under Professor Tony Maynard (American Combat Jujitsu), Professor Anthony Huss (Huss Hybrid Combat College), and Sensei Roger Rodolphe (Greensboro Judo Club).
